High school students from Jordan and the region are invited to register for the Columbia GlobeMUN conference to be held in Istanbul on November 5 to 8, 2015. 

A group of thirty key stakeholders from the education sector in Kenya gathered at the Columbia Global Centers | Nairobi to deliberate the future of education in areas plagued by insecurity and conflict.

Participants engaged in a panel discussion with the representatives from the Ministry of Education in Kenya, lauding the research as long overdue, noting that the government was keen to have more reports focusing on the cause of conflict.Participants from the non-governmental organizations applauded the research as timely and one that confirmed that inclusion was the ultimate solution to conflict.

n the coming month of July, the Columbia Global Centers | Rio de Janeiro will receive researchers and professors from different departments of Columbia University, who study the broader area of Humanities.

The Columbia Global Centers | Middle East continues to hold the Columbia Experience Overseas Program (CEO), in partnership with the Center for Career Education at Columbia University. In the 40-minute talk, Alice Kessler-Harris, R. Gordon Hoxie Professor of American History at Columbia University, unfolded the dynamic history of American women gaining and defining their citizenship. She began her remarks by commenting on the success of a 2013 book written by Sheryl Sandberg,the COO of Facebook, which urged women to assert themselves and accelerate career demands.

On the evening of June 4, 2015 in Paris, the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) launched a new initiative, SDSN Youth (SDSN-Y). 

Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Michelle K. Lee and the State Intellectual Property Office Deputy Director General Zhang Peng spoke at the Columbia Global Centers | Beijing on May 25 about education and careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
